Esta foi, sem dúvida uma Páscoa diferente para muitos de nós. Separados de familiares, impedidos de ir a uma igreja, reinventámos tradições e encontrámos novas maneiras de estar juntos de quem e do que é realmente importante.

Numa Páscoa que tinha tudo para “dar errado”, vivenciámos de perto que o Amor tudo vence, numa Páscoa que parecia (para os mais desatentos) “perdida”, vivemos a plenitude do sentido da Ressurreição!

Porque o Amor é mais forte,

Porque por Amor ficamos separados,

Porque por Amor ajudamos estranhos,

Porque por Amor partilhamos o que temos,

Porque por Amor temos Esperança que num amanhã tudo se irá resolver,

Porque por Amor Acreditamos no bem que há no Homem.

Porque por Amor desapegamo-nos de nós mesmo e damos a vida pelos outros!

E quantos têm posto a sua vida em risco por estranhos!

O Amor tirou-nos da indiferença,

Porque o Amor modificou-nos,

Porque o Amor trouxe-nos de volta à Vida!

This was, without a doubt, a different kind of Easter for many of us. Separated from family, unable to attend church, we reinvented traditions and found new ways to stay close to what—and to whom—truly matters.

In an Easter that had everything to “go wrong,” we experienced firsthand that Love conquers all.

In an Easter that may have seemed “lost” to the less attentive, we lived the true fullness of the Resurrection!

Because Love is stronger.Because it is out of Love that we stayed apart.

Because it is out of Love that we helped strangers.

Because it is out of Love that we shared what we had.

Because it is out of Love that we hold on to Hope—that tomorrow things will get better.

Because it is out of Love that we believe in the goodness within humanity.

Because it is out of Love that we let go of ourselves and give our lives for others.

And how many have put their lives at risk for strangers!

Love lifted us from indifference,

Love transformed us,

Love brought us back to Life!
